Cinnamon belongs to the spicy olfactory family. Its warm, spicy, sweet scent brings a touch of sensuality and passion to fragrances. When combined with floral notes, cinnamon adds depth and complexity to the fragrance,
The incense is made in Mysore, Karnataka in south India. Karnataka is famous for its aromas and ashtanga yoga among other things. The family that makes the incense live in a small village just outside the city. We have been friends and working together for nearly 8 years.
The incense is made by collecting the used flower garlands from the temples and shrines and householders and then drying the flowers until they can make a dust from them. The agarbatti is then rolled onto a bamboo stick and dipped in essential oil of the flower and rolled in the dry petals, which is the dust you see on the incense stick. All this is a manual process, no machines, all by hand. There are no lighting agents or chemical ingredients in them, 100% natural.
When we receive the incense we hand pack each order, wrapping them in old Indian newspaper, sealed with a sticker explaining the aromas and effects of the scent you have bought. It becomes a bit of a meditation for us!
Incense, has been used for thousands of years, it can be used to cleanse a room or space before meditation or spiritual practices or just for a beautiful natural scent.
